                                       Photosynthesis

• The food that plant need is made by a process called photosynthesis. This is an extremely complicated  chemical process, which can be shown by a simple formula.
• The formula (shown above) does not show the many energy changes or the stages of photosynthesis, however .Simply, the plants combine carbon-dioxide from the air with water to make suger.
• This suger is stored as carbohydrate,and is used later by the plant to provide energy for growth and flower production.

• There are two main difference between plant and animal cell. Plant cell contain green chlorophyll and they have think, rigid cell walls, made of  a substance called cellulose. Plant do not need the thinner flexible wall found  in animal cell because they do not move in the same way. Inside the wall, a plant  with a nuccleus embedded in it, and there often large space called vacuoles, filled with a liquid called cell sap. The plant is kept in shape by the pressure of the sap on the cell walls rather like the shape  of a balloon is maintained by the air inside.
